There isn't a forum I enjoy more. Like the old Bee's Tavern. Madison is endlessly fascinating to me. I want more than Historic Madison Facebook. Ideas? Suggestions? Wishes?
Just this morning I once again thanked God for not letting me linger amongst the ticky-tacky boxes of Chicagoland suburbia...
What Would You Like on the DPF?
Re: What Would You Like on the DPF?
Maybe we should use more of what we already have. Talk about restaurants is pretty scarce considering how many there are. Drinking threads are few and short. Not a lot of talk about entertainment either. I say this because I can't think of anything to talk about that isn't available in the Forum's current structure. I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

World peace. And scones.
Re: What Would You Like on the DPF?
I was thinking a "Thanks" thread in Catch All might be fun, for those little moments of gratitude that pop up throughout the day.
I'm home sick with a cold, though, too grumpy to start one. Maybe it'd just end up being self-congratulatory, anyway?
What made me think of it is that our house temp is set to 64 on weekdays, but since I'm home today, I want it warmer. So I moseyed up to our cheery little Nest thermostat, which senses my presence and winks to life as I draw near, and turned the dial to 70. Nest estimates hitting 70 in 34 minutes, but our rowhouse always heats up/cools down faster than anticipated.
So I'm thankful that I turn the bezel on a pretty piece of wall jewelry, and my house speedily adjusts to my wish. That is amazingly awesome.

Without Flambeau there is not much else to ask for right now.
