Good thoughts for Jeff Erlanger

Postby Thusnelda » Wed May 23, 2007 10:01 pm

I heard some sad news today from a friend. Jeff Erlanger choked on some food on Sunday night and suffered oxygen deprivation/cardiac arrest. He is in the hospital, in critical condition, and while he may recover completely, his friends and family are prepared for the worst as well. His prognosis will be unknown for several days.

I've always been very impressed with his energy and his efforts with many Downtown organizations. My best wishes go out to him, his family and friends.

Known him for years.

You are right Pogo, he was a really funny person who was great to be around.

My thoughts will be with his family.

Jeff was one of my summer camp counselors a long time ago. He was a great guy, just a wonderful person.

Here's an incredible remembrance of Erlanger by Doug Moe: http://www.madison.com/tct/news/188157

According to Moe, Erlanger may have saved a young woman's life as she tried to commit suicide.
