does anybody think this might be something more benign, perhaps a misapprehension on the excessive multi-poster's part? i may be wrong, but in all fairness:

the reason that i ask this is that i see on some other boards at which i lurk (although they also tend to be more specific, such as various science, culture, mathematics, history topics, media, finance, programming, operating systems &c) that some of them have counters for such things as reputation level, hit points, health points, whatever it is generally called.

as bdog vividly demonstrated, the modus operandi at least of the e m p seems to be something along these lines, that is, driven by various idiosyncratic ideas about how the board works . . . but without the hit point system, on this board we don't "bump" posts, and doing so is abusing network resources.

this is not the only concern, of course, but one thing at a time . . .

Another concern would be "sockpuppets"...forons having, and using, more than one log-in name.

Is "gozer" the only name you use on this forum or are there others you also log-in with?
