Wake up, gramps -- they did that, 55 years ago:

Obama's association with Louis Farrakhan and James Wright was "50 years ago"? Try again pops.

Stephen Miller is still in the Trump White House. Enough said.

The FBI opened a counterintelligence investigation to determine whether the president of the United States is a Russian asset.

In that context, "nyah nyah, Democrat Party" is pretty weak.

Um, the FBI opened a "case" to spy on a political candidate. Both Hillary and Obama were behind this, by the way. Treason indeed.

Um, nope. The FBI opened a case when Trump was a candidate to determine whether Russian intelligence was influencing his campaign and/or the election more broadly.

The counterintelligence investigation that the NYT learned about this past week was only opened after Trump's firing of the FBI director and telling a group of Russian visitors that he did it to take the heat off himself. Trump's habit of having secret, un-recorded meetings with Putin and/or his emissaries also set off alarm bells. So that second investigation was to determine whether president (not candidate) Trump was actively working as a Russian asset.

This is a shocking situation and the fact that you, like the rest of the GOP, are sticking your fingers in your ears and pretending that it's not happening is utterly disgraceful. If one-third of America literally doesn't care that the President may be consciously working on behalf of the Russian government, America as a nation won't last much longer.

How timely:

GOP Congressmen Meet With Holocaust-Denying Troll Chuck Johnson

Notorious alt-right figure and Holocaust denier Chuck Johnson met with two Republican lawmakers in Congress on Wednesday....

Johnson, a former Breitbart reporter, has denied the magnitude of the Holocaust, expressing doubt that gas chambers were real and questioning whether six million Jews were really killed ... He also ran crowdfunding efforts for white supremacist causes, including the neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer.

Why are GOP congresscritters palling around with neo-Nazis and Holocaust deniers?

I’m not sure which one Ned thinks is filled with racists and anti-Semites.

I am unaware of any countries named as such. Are you perhaps thinking of The Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Turkey instead?

"Today the Coalition for Jewish Values, which represents more than 1,000 rabbis on issues of public policy, delivered a letter to Pelosi, asking her to rescind her appointment of Omar to Foreign Relations. The letter is embedded below. Some excerpts:
We write to express our alarm, dismay and outrage at your elevation of Freshman Representative Ilhan Omar to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. This decision runs contrary to the values of tolerance and equality to which the Democratic Party and your office have always been committed.
In 2012, as Israel defended itself against an expressly genocidal army which fired thousands of missiles at civilians, Ilhan Omar declared: “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”

Ned's off topic again. He better hope Bwis doesn't find out. On topic: I think Steve King should resign in disgrace.

It depends - is the topic strictly limited to King? Or could it more broadly interpreted as "elected officials who are proudly racist"? Like say Steve "I'm David Duke without the baggage" Scalise.

It's not up to me, but even though King's name is in the thread title, I think similar scum are fair game.
