In my on-boarding to Congress, I get to pick my insurance plan.

As a waitress, I had to pay more than TWICE what I’d pay as a member of Congress.

I think it should be a requirement written into the Constitution that people elected to Article 1 offices must dance.

"Likeable" for female politicians seems to be akin to “articulate” for black people — even if people say you possess this quality it only means you’ve passed a test you shouldn’t have had to take in the first place and which has kept most of your peers out of contention.

I think Whoopi has a point. The Democrats can't afford not to be united now. The Republicans couldn't govern because of the extremists in their ranks. We can't afford to repeat that mistake. A skilled politician accepts incremental change. Or gets nothing. We can't afford to pass up the opportunity to get something. Doesn't mean she can't speak her mind. But she needs to stick with her party when it matters, or she'll have as much power as a Democrat in the Wisconsin Assembly. None.

Balderdash. She's already been slammed by at least one losing Democrat who just happened to be a Trump collaborator. She needs to start kicking ass right fucking now and the other Dems can find a backbone and get on the bus. It's time to stand up to those lying thieves for a change and if the rest of her party can't figure that out, fuck 'em.

She's not an extremist. She's just not a wimp. The way the Dems have been for the last few years, not being a wimp LOOKS like an extremist Democrat, but that's the way it is.

Chaos on the Democratic side will guarantee a Republican victory in 2020. Pelosi is proceeding in exactly the right way. She's not giving in to Trump. She's passing bills to open the government. And she is demonstrating by doing that who exactly is responsible for the dysfunction. You can follow that lead and win in 2020. Or you can indulge in anger and lock in Republican rule for possibly the rest of your life. As I said in my original post, she can and should be free to be herself. But if the Democrats in the House don't stick together, they will surely lose. And then where's the check on Trump's power?
