BREXIT British PM sucks up to Trump

Postby fflambeau » Fri Jan 27, 2017 8:47 pm

Both are Brexit supporters. Trump actually went to Scotland (which voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU) and the fascist Nigel Farage is one of his favorites, and another leading Brexitier.

Note both movements are similar: proto fascist, anti-immigrant, anti international.

If the UK pulls out of the EU both Scotland and Ireland will break away from the UK.

You really need to stop posting lies. Everything you posted is false. (Nothing new really)

This is really a huge mess. Good joke, Beaver, but the issue itself isn't funny at all. The British version of Trumpers are about to drive the country into a deep depression that may take decades to climb out of.

As no-deal Brexit risk rises, so do odds of monster traffic jams
Every day more than 10,000 trucks cross on ferries or through the tunnel between Dover and the French port of Calais, less than two hours away.

Under the current system those trucks hardly ever get checked.
Under a no-deal Brexit, however, every goods vehicle would have to clear customs in Dover or Calais. In addition to custom declarations, there would be regulatory checks at ports for animal and forestry products. That could take hours, depending on the load. Port officials estimate that a two-minute delay to trucks entering Dover would lead to a 17-mile line of trucks on the main highway from London.

anti-international eh? so that's a great sin like anti-communism? what's wrong with looking out for your own citizens first and helping out the neighbours when needed?

the e u of today will eventually collapse under its own weight. everybody knows it. the austro-hungarian empire was self-sufficient (hard-core -- the economic term is "autarky") for much of the many centuries and it all lasted until other folks knocked em down and stuffed a cucumber up their arse in 1919 . . . w w ii, the wars in the former yugoslavia, the n d h, vidkun quisling, another self-sufficient empire (tsarist russia, and the ottomans to a large extent) going to the dogs and worse, the near east mess and all sorts of other things are the cup of the grapes of wrath which came from all that . . .
