This is so exceptional: AGW activist, 16 year old Greta Thornburg's response to criticism of her advocacy...

“I am just a messenger, and yet I get all this hate. I am not saying anything new, I am just saying what scientists have repeatedly said for decades. And I agree with you, I’m too young to do this. We children shouldn’t have to do this. But since almost no one is doing anything, and our very future is at risk, we feel like we have to continue.”

2:36 NASA video of monthly Arctic ice cover from 1991-2016... really puts it into perspective how quickly Earth's warming...

Very interesting article today in today's NYTimes, How to Cut U.S. Emissions Faster? Do What These Countries Are Doing. I would point out that their projection for their business as usual scenario shows roughly flat CO2 equivalent emissions out to 2050. I find that result very optimistic.

If you scroll to the bottom the article links to an interactive policy simulator created by Energy Innovator. My time is limited right now, so let me know if you find something interesting. You can't use your phone to try out the policy simulator.

BTW, I found an interesting video on the polar vortex by Judah Cohen, a climatologist who is one of the world's experts on the polar vortex.

You can look at this article on the polar vortex by WaPo published in December to read a prediction by Judah Cohen, "Polar vortex could unleash winter wallop by January"

Yup. It did.
