Who will the Patriots face this year? Rams or Saints?

Saints. I agree with you on the Patriots.

Chiefs blew is with offsides. Saints were robbed by bad call.

I missed the game this year. Apparently it was a good one to miss.

For those of you who were lucky enough not to watch, here's the quick summary:

1. Patriots are champs again, 13-3, winning their 6th Super Bowl, which ties them with the Steelers for most Lombardi Trophies.

2. The game was incredibly boring, even though it was close. Many Superb Owls are boring, but usually because the game ends up 45-24. I'll take the high scoring boring.

3. The only touchdown was in the middle of the 4th quarter. Up until then, the teams put the 'foot' back in football. It was a puntathon, with a couple of FGs thrown in.

4. As far as I know, other than a bunch of longevity records by Brady and Belicheck, the only two significant records set were for fewest points and touchdowns, and longest punt. There were some other records set for offensive futility.

5. When a mediocre hafltime show featuring Maroon 5 is more esciting than the Rams offense, it is not a good day for the Superb Owl.

6. The ads were nearly as bleak as the game, although I got a kick out of the Stella Artois ad:

7. The best thing about the game was that, because nothing happened, it was over by 9:15 instead of the usual 10 pm or later.

There you go.

I enjoyed the game, even though the wrong team won. Neither team was hitting on all cylinders, but it was close enough that the outcome was on the line all the way through. The Rams' offense is capable of putting lots of points on the board quickly, so they weren't out of it until the last minute or so. Gurley's performance was disappointing, but he was hurting.

I kinda thought I'd see a little something about all the half time performers who turned down the show due to the Colin Kaepernick boycott till Maroon 5 finally said yes and then
In December, Variety reported that the band had reached out to “more than a half-dozen stars” to join them for the halftime show, including André Benjamin (a.k.a. André 3000 of Outkast), Mary J. Blige, Usher, Lauryn Hill, and Nicki Minaj. But every last one, Variety reported, said no.

I didn't mind watching good defense being played, except that Goff played so poorly that it made the Patriot defense look better. Made me wish I could have seen how Drew Brees and the Saints offense would have fared. Quite a bit better I think.
The Stella Artois commercial was a favorite of mine as well.

Bob Dylan sold "Blowin' in the Wind" for Budweiser. He has shilled before, but the usage of that song seemed notable.

It would certainly be more entertaining.
