The good news:
If the Packers win out, they will probably still make the playoffs.

The bad news:
If the Packers win out, McCarthy is more likely to return.

I think it's a shame that McCarthy is having to endure the wrath of fans for the bad drafting and lack of success in the free agent market. He didn't make those decisions.

I don't think the talking heads and fans are blaming McCarthy for bad draft picks and free agent moves, I think they're coming to the realization that all of McCarthy's success has been on Aaron Rodgers' shoulders. McCarthy has failed to make the best of good situations and had DEFINITELY failed to make the best of bad situations. As goes Aaron Rodgers, so go the Packers. So basically, you could put anyone in at Head Coach and he'd have similar success, right? At least, I think that's the gripe.

I believe that's the gripe, but I'm not that sure it's the reality. I remember the year of the Super Bowl, McCarthy held that team together through a horrible rash of injuries, barely made the playoffs, and then went on that run. Not coincidentally, we haven't had a roster that talented in a long time. No matter how good a coach you are, you can't be very successful in football by surrounding one great player with a bunch of average at best players.

Aaron not getting along with his family. Do they get together for Thanksgiving?

They can't win on the road. Better luck next year.

Unwilling to pass up a good conspiracy theory, I think the players got together and agreed to look hapless, particularly at the end of games, to ensure that McCarthy isn't back in 2019. Two weeks in a row we've seen Aaron Rodgers throw a gimme screen into the ground during crunch time. The inmates have taken over the asylum.

That is a good one. Don't forget the part where half the team feigns injury so the scrubs come in and do a more convincing job of not knowing what they're doing.

Against my better judgement, I went to the game. When the 3Q meltdown started, I left.

I'd love to know what happened to the TV ratings. Early in the 3rd quarter, I quit watching. One of my friends who is a big Packer fan texted that he was going to bed at about the same time.
That's pretty remarkable, since until recently many of us believed that we always had a chance if Rodgers was playing. No more.

At this point, I'm pretty good at gauging which way the game is going. I'm done wasting time on a team that's so undisciplined and vanilla. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Ticket prices going down. Who wants to sit out in the cold for this?

From my experience, people who drink so much that they can barely feel the cold, and the disappointment.

Ok, this is a new low.
Losing at home in December with Aaron Rodgers under center to a bad warm weather team.

Very sloppy in all phases of the game.
