Dez Bryant To Green Bay Packers; A Good Fit?

Postby Cornelius Gotchberg » Thu May 17, 2018 7:18 am

When he wants to be, Bryant is match-up nightmare for mortal DB's & wins better than half of the one-on-one jump balls.

The 13 Time World Champions have resurrected a career or two; the names Gilbert Brown, Charles Woodson, and to an extent Andre "Bad Moon" Rison, come to mind.

If they can't afford Jordy Nelson how can they afford Dez?

@Shorty;

If they can't afford Jordy Nelson how can they afford Dez?

They could have come up with the money for Nelson. Still, the trade was a tough call on a lot of different levels; he would have taken a paycut and he's a class guy that loves (loved?) Green Bay and Green Bay loves him. I hope it doesn't come back to bite them in the @$$.

I think they could get Bryant, 3 years younger than Nelson, cheaper with a one year "prove it" contract or an incentive-laden multi-year deal.

If they can squeeze him in, why not give it a try; him and Graham in the Red Zone together? Fuggeddaboudit!

Even with the hard decision on Nelson, I like the Packers new, more aggressive, personnel approach.

GO PACKERS!!
