The defense isn't the answer either. When you look at the totality of the team's performance, it's amazing just how much garbage Aaron Rodgers covered up. This team just stinks without him. It's stunning.

It's been like that for a long time now. TT seems to have rode on his laurels after the 2010 Superbowl season, but he's wasted a lot of high picks on mediocre players by picking personality over talent during the draft. And only finally this year he sought out more improvements from free agency than usual. The usual being zero to one free agent acquisition. I think both he and McCarthy coddle Rogers a bit to much too.

If he would've hit Adams on the wide-open bomb, Crosby made his first field goal, and Daniels didn't seriously screw up with the unnecessary roughness penalty, it's a different conversation. It all depends on his improvement in the next few games, and consistency for the rest of season if he lasts that long. Even though he's been "in the system" for 2-1/2 years now, you have to think it's almost like being a rookie to become comfortable and get your timing down during a real game when you're finally thrown into action

I thought the bomb to Adams was one of his best passes of the night, but Davante didn't put forth the best effort to catch it. McCarthy clearly doesn't have much faith in Hundley. Coming off a bye, you'd think he would have been able to design some plays that take advantage of his skill level. But the game plan was simply to not have Hundley lose the game. That's not a terrible strategy if you have a dominant running attack and defense, but that's not the case.

One of my kids, home from college for Thanksgiving break, turned on the TV while Baltimore was playing against some impostors claiming to be the Packers.

From that game, I can say the Packers are NOT still playing.

Ah, well, the Harbaugh brothers went 1-1 in Wisconsin this weekend.

Packers should try Kaepernick
BY DAVE CIESLEWICZ NOVEMBER 21, 2017
http://isthmus.com/opinion/citizen-dave ... aepernick/

"Let’s face it. Brett Hundley just isn’t working out. So why not try Colin Kaepernick? In six seasons with San Francisco, Kaepernick had an 88.9 passer rating. That was good enough for 17th among all NFL quarterbacks with 1,500 passing attempts or more since 1973, when the rating started to be used officially. That’s 17th out of 185 quarterbacks on that list, putting him in the top 10 percent of all regular starting quarterbacks in the last 44 years. And Kaepernick is far from over the hill, having just turned 30."

When Pittsburgh's running back fell down with 4 seconds left, all the Packers had to do was not touch him and let the clock run out.

I think that falls under the "giving yourself up" rule - if a runner goes down intentionally and clearly is not trying to advance the ball, the play is dead.

Hey, let's try a 57 yard field goal! Nobody beat 53,so it's a lockright?

McCarthy said Crosby was hitting 57 yarders in warm ups. He took a huge gamble that I didn't agree with.

A reporter asked MM if he knew how long the longest FG made at Three Rivers Stadium was. I thought MM response was priceless. I have 40 seconds to make the call. I didn't have time to look up the record.

Excellent! One of politest "Fuck You's" I've heard in quite some time.

I disagreed with the call before he kicked. I felt it was too cold to risk kicking it that far. Thought he should have punted and shown trust in his defense. Coaching possibly cost them the game. That said, Mr. Hundley looked pretty durn good. A 134 quarterback rating for the game. Aaron Rodgers lifetime rating is 104. The kid is catching on.

And X-Mayor Dave, why would anyone want an out of football-shape, public-relations-situation(in Japan there is no word for problem) with a lifetime quarterback rating of 86? Hmmm....the offense would be completely new to Mr. Kapernick. Maybe you could teach him it in the last five weeks. Here, get a copy of this. It could help.
