Not if you're rooting for the Badgers to win more than one game in the tournament. This team is in trouble. Turning it around will be a huge test of Gard's coaching mettle. I hope that he's up to it.

It's not looking good. They may not win another game. My guess is that they lose to Minnesota, win the first game of the Big Ten tournament, then lose the last two. Very disappointing, given the talent on this team.

Tonight's win was encouraging. If they could only make their FTs we would have won by 20 over the hottest team in the Big 10.

I hope that they can keep it up. It's nice to have some hope again.

The interesting thing about the tournament schedule is that there is ALWAYS hope.

Any team in any D1 conference has a shot at winning everything. All they have to do is win their conference tournament and then win the NCAA tournament.

The conference tournament is the first chance. Win and in, automatically.

The at-large picks are the second chance. The Badgers have been good enough they are not considered a "bubble" team, although a few more losses would've put them on the bubble.

They will be in, no matter what.

The question is how well will they play.

They are talented enough to have a very good run. But if they keep missing free throws like they have of late, it will catch up to them in short order.

Ryan always emphasized the charity stripe. He used to challenge his team in a free throw competition during practice and he often won.

It really sounds like the current staff is trying. Players make them in practice, then fall apart in games. I'd bench people. Miss a free throw? Come sit next to coach for awhile. Too late to do that now I suppose. Although if you miss the front end of a bonus, it's the same as a wasted possession. Take a seat, son.

Indiana started the season ranked #3. Talk about disappointment. Could get atonement in tourney starting tonight against UW.

Just to conflate ALL the threads on TDPF,

Michigan's plane went oopsie due to the very high winds, one of our Signs of Spring, after the February Thaw.
The Travel Ban failed, and they were able to get on a different plane, arriving just before the game.

No Weapons on the Buses, and no uniforms on the team plane. They even had to travel without Professor Wagstaff's extensive playlist.

Despite the attacks on NPR and PBS, the Michigan Wolverines played a great game of Powerball to beat the Illini 75-55, putting Illinois in a Deep State of loss, feeling like Fukishima Food.

And none of the players grabbed the top copy of Isthmus.

Excellent Unified Forum theory, proving the universe revolves around the Isthmus. Except one thing. We are talking Badger ball not Michigan.

It's the B1G Tournament. Michigan just beat #1 ranked Purdue. If Michigan beats the Gophers, and Wisco beats Indiana (Badgers down by 1 point as I write) and then wins the semis. Michigan and Wisconsin meet in the Finals.

OOPS. Down by 3 points now. C'mon Bucky!

Up by 6 at halftime. They clearly look like the superior team at this point.
