Good coaches adapt their offenses to fit their personnel. Look no further than Bill O'Brien adding in more play-action for Houston to take advantage of DeShaun Watson's strengths. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see GB call some read-option for Hundley, to take advantage of his running skills and mask some weaknesses in the O-Line. This also happens to play into Kaepernick's strengths, which would make him an obvious candidate to bring in for a tryout, assuming he would accept backup money.

I would be willing to bet almost anything that Hundley's career never reaches the levels of Romo or Rodgers.

Of course, people would have been willing in 2007 to bet the Aaron Rodgers' career would be no where near as great as Brett Favre's career.

If Rodgers heals and can play in 2018 with no medical doubts, Hundley will be signing a contract with another NFL team next year. If he plays well the rest of the season it will be for HUGE amounts.

See Aaron Brooks, Mark Brunell and Matt Hasselbeck.

Colin K's business plan seems to be going all in on an arbitration case against the NFL.

All or nothing. If he loses, he gets nothing and no team in the NFL ever looks at him again.
If he wins, he maybe gets a lot of money. Maybe. Trump and the USFL got $3 from the NFL.

Or Matt Flynn.

I don't think Hundley is as good as any of those four. I hope I am wrong.

Hundley is probably better than Starr's primary backup, Zeke Bratkowski.

But not as good as Lynn Dickey-an early version of Matt Stafford, who held the Packers single season passing yardage record until Rogers finally beat him.

His attorney says he will be signed by Nov 11. Oakland, Houston, and Green Bay all could use him. I'm betting on Oakland.

Geragos thinks Kaepernick will be signed within 10 days
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... n-10-days/

“I think within the next 10 days somebody will sign him,” Geragos said, via BleacherReport.com. “I think somebody’s gonna sign him. I think the NFL has to come to their senses, and realize every day that goes by just proves the collusion case even more.”

I hope so.

The NFL's "standards" obviously need to change.

Thanks, Scoop, Carr has been playing again for the last 4 weeks. And don't hold your breath on Houston -- their owner recently referred to players as inmates.
