Tax the Billionaire Class to extinction. Nobody truly NEEDS a billion dollars, especially while billions go hungry on the planet every day.
"Soak the rich? Americans say go for it
Surveys are showing overwhelming support for raising taxes on top earners:"

It all boils down to a simple matter of Cause & Effect:

"Some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That's about one in nine people on earth. The vast majority of the world's hungry people live in developing countries, where 12.9 percent of the population is undernourished:"

"It’s so popular that even egomaniac billionaires have had to quiet down after attempting to deflate its popularity. Both Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have proposed some form of new taxes on the very wealthy to create a better American environment. Both of their plans are very popular, with polls coming out every day promoting one over the other."

But will those very wealthy citizens buy legislation (new credits and deductions and exceptions) that will help them circumvent the taxes? Will they find new ways to hide the wealth?

Yup. But they'll have to do it right out in the open where everybody can watch them do it. And then somebody will start closing loopholes.

Gonna take a looong time. But I'm a little more heartened than I was a few weeks ago.

Answer to the Question enunciated below: HELL NO!
And that goes Quadruple for that bag-of-swine-parts, masquerading-as-a-human-being, job-killing, dulling every-human-endeavor-into-a-patented, copyrighted, profiteering, venture-capitalistic experience, Jeff Bezos. That's right... we intensely NEED corporate capital punishment, democratically agreed upon by all sane Americans and all sentient beings the world over. We ALL should fiscally emasculate him, and I ain't just referring to Bezos' notorious "Dick Pic." No let's not stop there, comrades: Amazon's golden boy, he of hoi polloi's absurdly daydreaming, super-rich-sympathizing romanticization; he, who along with WalMart before him, has put ten thousand Main Streets and even scores of Shopko's out of business. ABOLISH HIM! Bezos is a lot friggin' worse than the National Enquirer could ever aspire to, in its very dreams.

Yes, you all read me right - it's high time to eliminate, in economic terms, that very anachronistic Jeff Bezos - and all others like him. Why?? WTF? Why, you ask, befuddled perhaps? Why "bash" that opulent, ostentatious, 21st Century Celebrity Robber Baron, who's apparently the darling of quite a number of "liberal" folks who should damn well know better!?

Because, as I've said before and I'll damn well rant it again... people are starving - a billion AT LEAST. They hunger precisely because "we" allow, even encourage the existence of such mogulistic creatures. Seriously, such tolerance as is witnessed for a groupie of greed, retro-phenomenon, like THAT escapes me, eludes my normal comprehension!

“Should Billionaires Even Exist?
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Elizabeth Warren believe some Americans have too much money, and they’re not alone. “
https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/bi ... 92c6dcafc6

P.S. I may be mistaken in crediting a causal relationship between the global existence of two billion starving & malnourished humans, and the existence of a handful of billionaires who collectively own as much as the poorest 50% of all Earth's inhabitants. But I doubt it, strongly. I also believe we have been massively conditioned for centuries, nay, millennia, to sheepishly, spinelessly accept the existence of a perversely unequal status quo, as something somehow natural and/or justifiable.

"1.02 billion people hungry
One sixth of humanity undernourished - more than ever before:"
