https://variety.com/2018/biz/news/lesli ... 203088794/

howard stern has called moonves a snake many times, a shark too . . . i think it was 1995 when he went on and on about moonves for more than an hour with nary a pause to take a breath and also said he was going to buy a snake and name him les moonves (i wonder what peta thought about the name) the most relevant editor at the kronen zeitung knew i was in white plains having my own king cobra attended to when there was a week with nothing going on in dayton, ohio and they had me go down to n y c and interview stern that evening. he was very gracious and entertaining and i think he was in the right . . .

Some people say God permits it. After all, it's in the Bible.

once i was talking to an anthropologist who studied the south & midland snake handlers and their brethren and sistren in mexico and she says it actually works essentially 100 per cent of the time, although more nervous ministers may fill their congregation's snake auxiliary with corn snakes, rat snakes, water snakes and other non-venomous forms, though this is one-third of the time at most . . .maybe that is cheating, but people have reported the ingestion of strychnine, arsenic, thallium salts, petrol, even entire bottles of tincture of belladonna (the usual dose being drops, in the low single digits) at the ceremonies also . . .

about a year and a half ago we took in an african egg-eating snake (dasypeltis scabra wagstaff 1830) who was rescued from folks who didn't know what they were doing and trying to make the snake switch to vegetables . . . not only is she very pleasant and tractable and likes to come out of the enclosure and shit on the back of the couch when there are people downstairs, we also put a large t-shaped enclosure by a stereo because she likes to come to forward part of the enclosure and bob her head up and down when eurodisco or progressive trance is put on, 140 b p m or more usually . . .

have u ever seen the sufis who put skewers through their tongue and lift weights with their nutsak and the vodoun and candomblé folks who, amongst other things, carry hot coals around in their mouth? maybe there is something to it?

Court upholds conviction in snake-in-a-box case

Reminds me of a certain SNL skit, one that involved the one-eyed spitting cobra.

i guess it is a good thing that guy is not a herpetologist or zoo keeper or snake trainer for synanon as pythons are not venomous . . . of course, their bite reportedly hurts like a motherfucker because their teeth point backwards to keep prey from escaping . . . and having one jump out of a box is a heart-pumper and a half for much of the population, no doubt . . .
