It is very important to ensure you don't spend your way through >$1 billion by any means possible.

I would be happy to win. But I would worry about not blowing it. I'd worry about taking care of friends and family. I'd be annoyed by the publicity. I'd live with all that but it is not an unalloyed blessing.

Thank God that's over. You didn't win, BTW. And neither did I.

Now we get to find out the winners, read about and follow them in the news, and watch their lives get ruined. It's never over.

"The Powerball jackpot swelled to $478 million after Wednesday night's drawing yielded no jackpot winners. That's the fifth largest Powerball prize of all time, and it's number eight on the list of biggest lottery prizes in U.S. history.

Wednesday's winning numbers were 10, 47, 50, 65, 68 and the Powerball was 24. The current jackpot has been growing since May 11, with 22 consecutive drawings that have failed to produce a grand prize winner. The next drawing is set for Saturday, July 30."

Still not worth playing. The odds and 292,000,000 to 1 so for a $2 ticket the jackpot needs to be greater than $584,000,000. And that doesn't even include the tax aspect of winning,

Two bucks is a cheap price to pay for two days of daydreamin' and wishful thinkin'...

...and as bad as the odds are of actually buying a winning ticket are, they are still better than the odds of winning the jackpot without buying a ticket at all.
