Kardashian West Visits White House Seeking Freedom For A Grandmother Serving Life

I don't care how honorable her reason nor how ridiculous the administration. That this can happen is just further proof of the inherent flaws in the species. Can we just get a nice big asteroid or a super volcano and be done with it already?

I really understand the sentiment, but I'm not really ready to check out just yet.
And don't forget aliens. I bet aliens would be able to put us out of our misery.

The Uninhabitable Earth
Famine, economic collapse, a sun that cooks us: What climate change could wreak — sooner than you think.

@Beaver;

Yawn; I read the 1968 version: Paul Ehrlich's The Population Bomb.

How'd that turn out again?

Yeah I really need more violent apocalyptic fantasy in my life right now. I was just thinking a few minutes ago that comparing the current administration to the Hitler regime isn't enough and I should be absorbing some apocalypse scenarios that will never happen.

Return of the Blob.

'The Blob' Is Back: Here's What It Could Mean for Lower 48
https://weather.com/news/climate/news/2 ... ific-ocean

"A mass of warm water known as "the blob" has returned to the northern Pacific Ocean.
The expansive dome of high pressure over Alaska allowed the blob to form off the coast.
The blob is generally associated with warm, dry winters in the West and cold, stormy winters in the East."

A cold winter isn't exactly apocalyptic, but it's probably the next worst thing as far as I'm concerned.

Here's something more to worry about

Government scientists are classifying 18 U.S. volcanoes as a "very high threat" because of what's been happening inside them and how close they are to people.

The biggest danger to Wisconsinites is the Yellowstone caldera. If that blows, all bets are off.

Better hope it doesn't. We wouldn't die right away, but the ash fall would kill a lot of us in the first year.
Looking at the bright side, global warming wouldn't be a problem anymore.

It's all fun and games until some guy gets his dick bit off because of a collision.

Odds are against collision but interesting to read about.

Large Asteroid Packing 50 Megatons Of Force Might Come Crashing Down On Earth In 2023
https://www.inquisitr.com/5178657/large ... n=homepage

"However, this is not to say that the asteroid will slam into Earth with absolute certainty. In fact — per the British media outlet — NASA estimates that the asteroid has a one in 30 million chance of crashing into our planet. This translates into a 99.9999967 percent chance of a miss in the event that asteroid 2018 LF16 does come wandering too close to home.

This particular space rock ranks as a level “zero” threat on the Torino Impact Hazard Scale — meaning that its likelihood of a collision with Earth is nonexistent or close to nonexistent."
