Radon

January is National Radon Action Month. I had my basement tested last year and it was slightly too high so had a radon removal system installed.

I did a store-bought send-in test in October and it came back 3.0 pCi/L, which is below the EPA action level of 4, but makes me feel I should do some more involved testing. We have a walk out basement, so my gut tells me that having the house all closed up for the winter would lead to higher readings towards Feb/March, and opening the house up in the spring would reduce levels, but I don't really know if this is sound reasoning.

Anybody have any experience with some of the electronic, real-time(ish) detection systems on the market? I'm likely going to buy one to track short- and long-term averages.
