In re-election bid, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker trails Democrat by 13 points, poll says

State schools Superintendent Tony Evers holds a strong lead over Republican Gov. Scott Walker in a hypothetical fall match-up, according to an NBC News/Marist College Poll released Thursday.

Evers leads Walker, 54 percent to 41 percent, the poll showed.

Just 34 percent of registered Wisconsin voters say Walker deserves re-election, while 61 percent said someone else deserves a chance in the job.

If Evers wins, Wisconsin will truly have an education governor.

My immediate reaction to the poll was that it's too good to be true. Upon reflection, I still think so. Walker's floor among actual voters is around 45%. Then a couple of months of millions for negative ads on his behalf shakes lose a few percentage points and he wins. At least that's how it's played out in the past. Hopefully the results will be different this time.

And a couple of months of Lefty insulting over half the electorate and expecting it to turn out well.

Just like 2016...and 2014...and the Recall.

Herr Einstein's definition of insanity deserves mention.

It does deserve mention --- as SOMETHING THAT EINSTEIN NEVER SAID.

I realize that you read this quote on the internet. Most likely at one of those cute little sites that have a list of alleged quotes by Einstein. He would have been embarrassed to learn that many of these trite quotes are attributed to him. Hell, there are even stupid cups that one can buy that have this quote on them ...
Image
But Albert never said it.

Now here is something that Einstein did write --- it's from 1949 and was published in the Monthly Review in a piece called "Why Socialism?"

Private capital tends to become concentrated in few hands, partly because of competition among the capitalists, and partly because technological development and the increasing division of labor encourage the formation of larger units of production at the expense of smaller ones. The result of these developments is an oligarchy of private capital the enormous power of which cannot be effectively checked even by a democratically organized political society. This is true since the members of legislative bodies are selected by political parties, largely financed or otherwise influenced by private capitalists who, for all practical purposes, separate the electorate from the legislature. The consequence is that the representatives of the people do not in fact sufficiently protect the interests of the underprivileged sections of the population. Moreover, under existing conditions, private capitalists inevitably control, directly or indirectly, the main sources of information (press, radio, education). It is thus extremely difficult, and indeed in most cases quite impossible, for the individual citizen to come to objective conclusions and to make intelligent use of his political rights.

And this essay comes with a warning:
Nevertheless, it is necessary to remember that a planned economy is not yet socialism. A planned economy as such may be accompanied by the complete enslavement of the individual. The achievement of socialism requires the solution of some extremely difficult socio-political problems: how is it possible, in view of the far-reaching centralization of political and economic power, to prevent bureaucracy from becoming all-powerful and overweening? How can the rights of the individual be protected and therewith a democratic counterweight to the power of bureaucracy be assured?

One more thing. You know that quote, "The Difference Between Stupidity and Genius Is That Genius Has Its Limits"

Einstein never said that one either.

@JoeT;

Bet you had a tres tough time learning not to shit yer pants, am I right?

Anywho, which Einstein insanity quote did yer firm grasp of the limitless lead youse to believe I was referencing?

You've proven Barnum's axiom: "There's a sucker born every minute"

Or was that Hannum referencing Barnum being Barnum? Makes a whale of a difference to pants-shitters like youse, doesn't it?

Now, off to Herr Google like a good, predictable little moron.

On that subject, "Stork" Storkman has some words of advise:

Aw, poor "Cornelius". Got caught using fake Einstein quotes and is reduced to a drive-by 'cut-and-paste' insult.

Show us the source for the quote "Cornelius"! If you knew anything about Albert Einstein there might even have been a flicker of doubt in your mind that Einstein would ever have said something so trite. Not even a flicker in your brain, is there?

Hey, don't you owe us a calculation of how much energy it takes to boil water in a kettle? Yeah, sure you do! Where's your homework, "Cornelius"?

Another thing you read on the internet and regurgitated on this forum.

Poor incompetent 'Cornelius'.

I accuse you of 'cut-and-paste' insults and you respond by EVEN more cut-and-paste. What is this, the 30th time you respond with a comment about butt paste? In a discussion about Albert Einstein, this IS the best you can do. And this fascination of yours with butts? What the hell is wrong with you? You need heavy doses of psychiatric help.

You're incapable of actually making a coherent argument, that's really the thing that drives you nuts, isn't it? So you need to, HAVE TO, resort to the most puerile of insults. What are you, 12 years old? You've got your MADLIB set of boring, repetitive insults and that's all you've got.

You're the kid in science class who gets called out by the teacher and you respond by dropping trou and mooning the class. And YOU think kids are laughing WITH you, when everyone is laughing AT you.

@JoeT;

Yeah, about the 30th time, you talentless fuck.

And yer like the sloppy fat, spongy kid on the low board (not robust enough for the high dive, or any other outdoor activity that requires even rudimentary coordination) screaming at everyone to watch youse jump in.

Unsuprisingly, as an ineffectual corpulent endomorph, youse proceed to FacePlant/bellyflop. Youse then proceed to scream at everyone because they watched at the wrong time.

Take this to Fight Club, you feebly flaccid, needle-dicked POS, where this far-too-easy evisceration will continue apace.

Poor Brain-Dead, Incompetent, Impotent and Stupid 'Cornelius'

In a post about quotes, allegedly by Einstein, most normal people would respond by either putting up the reference for the quote or thanking the person for pointing out the mistake. And I'm talking about the easy stuff regarding Einstein's life and work. Anyone with even an iota of knowledge about Einstein's life would think twice as to whether Einstein would ever say such trite garbage. This isn't even at the level of a discussion of general or special relativity or his views on quantum mechanics. Like I said, this is the EASY stuff!

But poor foul-mouthed, degenerate 'Cornelius' responds with the deeply depraved responses: Poop! Butt! Penis!
Cut-and-paste. Repeat.

Now, I can enjoy the self-destruction of a low-life like 'Cornelius' the same as the next person. So let's see if we can help this along. If you scroll up a bit you'll find, amidst a description of " Cornelius' " perverse fascination with butt paste, this gem:

Ooooh, a reference to Ben Franklin ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh.
What could that possibly be about? Well if you go here, you'll find this:
Cornelius Gotchberg wrote:"We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid." - Benjamin Franklin
The Gotch

For those who aren't dead above the neck, doesn't the quote sound just a tad colloquial? Well, that was a pretty long wind-up, so most of you can see where this is going:
BEN FRANKLIN NEVER SAID IT!

Talk about doubling down on the STOOOOOOPID!

(quick someone go check on 'The Gotch')

@JoeT can't win a battle of wit or wits; she lacks both.

But she's had more than the minimum requirement of four years of college to make her stoopid, am I right?

Seriously, don't try to be humorous, youse ain't got it in youse. Plus youse might pull something.

Looks like another win for big-money Walker.

Roys leads Democrats in July fundraising, Walker far ahead
https://www.channel3000.com/news/politi ... /778422476

"Roys raised the most among Democrats at about $147,000 for the month and she had nearly $292,000 cash on hand. But she and the others have trailed front-runner Tony Evers in the two most recent Marquette University Law School polls, which showed him with a double-digit lead. Evers raised $109,000 in July and had $158,000 cash on hand.

Republican Gov. Scott Walker raised $670,000 in the month, about half of what he brought in over the same month four years ago."

i wonder if that means anything, that is aside from the fact that one doesn't have to work on wall street to suck donkey dick *and* charm $670 000 smackers out of people who want them to suck theirs . . .
