Miss America

How can cultural elitists like ourselves put TV in the Culture category? Well, where the hell else is it going to fit?

Miss America

Postby Beaver » Tue Sep 13, 2016 12:34 pm

The q & a part of Miss America contest this week was rather interesting. The questions were tough and mostly political. They were asked what they thought about Hillary, Trump, immigration, and other issues. The answers were vague, just like a politician would give.

Miss America 2017 is: Miss Arkansas Savvy Shields

"During the question and answer portion, she was asked about Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. "If you're trying to be leader of the free world, everything you say and do matters and all of your actions are held to a higher standard," Shields said. "Both of the contestants have done a good job, but they also need to watch what they're doing."

Miss New York won the Miss America Q&A with her answer about Trump

“I think he’s a bright reminder of how our country needs to come together,” she said. “If you don’t agree with his message, then you need to decide where you stand on this debate. "As Americans, we need to make sure that we are celebrating all people from all backgrounds," she continued.
