The American Revolution

What books, zines or other pulp are you reading? What aren't you reading? What should everyone else read?

As a naturalized citizen I am most fascinated by the American Revolution. I remember after 9/11, I was in a Barnes & Noble, looking at letters between presidents. I thought I might read it before it gets banned. I did think of reading Gore Vidal's "United States of Amnesia" but I didn't like the reviews. I am looking for serious recommendations.

United States of Amnesia is a brilliant indictment of the lack of political awareness of the American citizenry in electing government, and it's consequences.

David Hackett Fischer, "Paul Revere's Ride".

Richard Ketchum, "Saratoga: Turning Point of America's Revolutionary War"

So you are one of those immigrants? Did you take a job from a real American? How many crimes have you committed here? Do you speak right or with a funny accent? Can I see your papers?

Yeah, make fun of crime. That is a natural for the leftys.
