If you have time to check Amazon every day you can get deals- they often only last one day, but I bought American Gods for 1.99, The Goldfinch for something like $2.30 & The Book Thief for about the same. I've only pd over $5 for an ebook a couple of times. If I pay any more I want something I can hold, give away, whatever. But I too will occasionally pay full price for a hard copy of something I want.

I find Barnes and Noble much better than Amazon, particularly price-wise.
