Alaska cruise

Postby Beaver » Tue Feb 07, 2017 2:22 pm

This sounds like a fun trip. Basically, a cruise for Christians where you discuss how to make money, destroy the middle class, and ruin the environment, while admiring the scenic nature you plan to destroy. Can public teachers, government workers, and Union members come, or are they not welcome?

Walker plans 'transformative' evangelical Alaskan cruise

"Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is inviting people to join him and evangelical Christian leaders on what he's calling a "transformative" and "once-in-a-lifetime" cruise to Alaska. The tour run by Inspiration Cruises and Tours runs from Aug. 12 to Aug. 19 and costs between about $1,300 and nearly $3,400."

"In addition to the fantastic music, we’ll enjoy nightly inspirational messages about issues that directly impact our society and business climate today. Topics include faith in the public arena, faith-driven entrepreneurship and strategic opportunities to transform the marketplace.

Best of all, you’ll spend this wonderfully scenic week in the presence of like-minded business owners and impassioned professionals. What an awesome opportunity to network, build relationships and get inspired for the future. Get away for an exciting cruise conference that will enrich you physically, mentally and spiritually in a breathtaking landscape. Reserve your cabin today for a transformative experience you’ll remember forever.

Sincerely, Scott Walker"

Darn I was looking forward to this. Wonder what the real reason was.

Gov. Walker's evangelical Alaskan cruise canceled
http://www.channel3000.com/news/politic ... /351992144

"The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Wednesday that Walker's spokesman Tom Evenson confirmed the August cruise had been called off "due to scheduling issues." The tour run by Inspiration Cruises and Tours was to run from Aug. 12 to Aug. 19 and cost between about $1,300 and nearly $3,400. The trip is no longer listed on the tour website."

Fear of pirates is my guess as to why it was cancelled.

Mine is lack of bookings. "There weren't enough people who thought it was a good idea to schedule themselves into a whole week on a boat with Scott Walker. Therefore we have scheduling issues."

That, and those religious cruises tend to be dry. Walker is the son of a Baptist preacher. (Catholic cruises, not so much.) Little money to be made since alcohol sales are a big part of the profits for most cruise lines.

Ya got me there. A week on a boat, with Scott Walker, and no liquor.

Ya gotta be one hell of a party liner to spend three grand on that.
