Very cool, indeed.

I was struck by this line: "It remains unknown what the men ate to survive the next three days."
First of all, didn't someone just ask them? Secondly, they need not have eaten anything given people can survive for a couple weeks or more without food. (Not that it wouldn't be unpleasant, it's just not deadly. Just ask anyone who has gone on a hunger strike.) The more important question is, what did they drink? Pretty sure shit starts getting serious in that regard after only a few days, especially if you're hot and/or in the sun.
