Madison area has some good bbq. Dickeys, Famous Dave's, Old Fashioned, and some others.

Come on. It's freakin Tomah. Even if the BBQ is any good, which it probably ain't, what the hell are you gonna do after you eat? Check out the second hand shops?

Correct. However as I can hardly get out, it may as well be another state.

Did you ever get to that new brewpub down there? You mentioned it a couple of months ago.

No, but my neighbor sometimes brings me to Madison VA hosp for tests and treatments. Will have him stop on the way home in the upcoming months.

Thanks for the reminder. BTW Anyone from Madison been down to try it?

Having lived in both Beloit and Janesville, I avoid visiting both towns as much as possible. Those few friends of mine who still live in the area don't drink.

Beef Butter sets up in the Woodman's Sun Prairie parking lot on Saturdays, heard it's very good but haven't been there yet.

As to Roy's query, I don't get to Janesville much, so I was hoping someone else would venture an opinion first.
If I see a review on Beer Advocate or some such, I'll report back.
My usual annual pub crawl is in the Chicago area. Last year we hit Three Floyds, Map Room, Piece, Revolution, Local Option and the like. Good food and some great beer.
