Never been a fan of fruity/flowery/yeasty/cloudy beers, which covers a lot of territory: wheat, sour, saison/farmhouse. The sour thing is a little weird, because in general I adore sour flavors.
Side note on America's rager for Belgian beers: I spent a summer in Belgium, and thank god I was in Antwerp where I could always find een Bolleke de Koninck. They call it (not very seriously) an APA — Antwaarpse Pale Ale. The flowery Belgian froof most people coo over... bleh. My two other Belgian go-tos were Leffe Brune (yum) and Palm Speciale.
Bars, wine, beer, cocktails, drunken escapades
Sours and saisons seem to be the current fad, just based on the volume and variety at this year's Taste. I tried several, since they make a good palate cleanse. They're OK, but I'm not enthused about them.
