I've had Piton. In fact I have a Piton tee shirt. For me, it's one of those "I'll drink it there but I wouldn't drink it here" beers.

I agree. Caribbean beers in general taste a lot better in the tropics than in the temperate zone.

No pun intended with my use of temperate.

Good one. Malt House had Surly Abrasive, Bell's Hopslam, and Ale Asylum Impending Dissent on tap. It's not making me look forward to Red Stripe next week. Fortunately: rum.

I've been hitting the Imperial Stouts pretty hard lately.

Epic Big Bad Batista. Quite strong coffee flavor. Damn good.

Central Waters Cassian Sunset. Similar in style as above, but not quite as coffee-forward. Both have nice vanilla and cinnamon flavors. This might be my favorite of CWs barrel aged program, which is saying something.

Ale Asylum Impending Dissent and Impending Descent. Yum.

And to mix things up, Founders Frootwood. Cherry ale aged in maple bourbon barrels. I'm normally not a big fan of fruit beers, but this excellent.

Bell's Expedition Stout
Bell's Midas
Founder's 2015 KBS
Greyline Mosacca
Perrin Caesar's Gimp

Drinking the spoils from a recent Michigan beercation. If anyone has a similar inclination, I highly recommend a trip to Grand Rapids. That place is lousy with craft breweries.

Since we're talkin' beer cities...

I was in Asheville NC a few weeks ago. That town has a LOT of tasty beer. The Hi-Wire brown ale I listed above was from there. I also brought home a sample pack from Green Man. I easily could have filled the trunk with good beers.

That's probably going to be the next trip.

Well, that's the thing. Anyone can make a beer more hoppy. All you have to do is add more hops.

And then call yourself Extreme, of course ...

Tavour indeed. All i gotta see is the name Fort George and I grab 6 or 8 of them. Their Pale Ale with Fir Tips is so sublime I'd give up my liver enzymes for more:)

I mean, I would hope so. It only comes in 22oz bottles. (Unless you found it on tap somewhere.)

Yes, during Craft Beer Week, Jordan's Big Ten Pub had it on tap. I lucked into it.
