Rolling Stone's Brian Jones 'was murdered'

Postby jonnygothispen » Mon Jul 06, 2009 12:27 pm

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/389914.stm

Former Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones was murdered, the woman who found him drowned 30 years ago claims.

Anna Wohlin, who discovered 27-year-old Jones in the pool at his farmhouse in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, told Swedish newspaper Expressen that it had taken her 30 years to talk about the night of 3 July, 1969.

"It hurt so much and went so deep. It was as if it had not happened to me...I was in such shock that I was sick. Then I repressed it..."

Wohlin, who is 53 and runs a clothes shop in Stockholm, claims builder Frank Thorogood - who is now also dead - killed the guitarist in a row over money.

Her book, The Murder of Brian Jones, has just been published."I felt I wanted to tell what really happened, mainly for the sake of his son and his closest friends who also believed he died when he was on drugs," she said.

I remember when he died. He drowned in a pool. I think he was on drugs. One of several young and talented musicians that died around that time and around the same age. Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix also died around then. It was very sad.

I have no evidence, but I blame this on the Zionists.

I always thought Jones was sort of incredible in the beginning. He played the flute, recorder, dulcimer, marimbas, harmonica, harp, and GOD knows what else. He formed the band, named them, cracked the whip, and got them their first gigs. And now the 'Stones' act as if he never existed.

Please tell me this is an autocorrect mishap and not what you actually think the nickname for Jagger-Richards is.

Jonny when Anita Pallenberg died last month, you missed a chance to bring up the story of Brian Jones beating the crap out of her--coincidentally just before she left him for Keith.

Yeah, he turned into a prick. I've read that Hendrix abused women once in awhile, and Lennon too. It looks like thousands of musicians couldn't handle fame, and the load that came with it, and became abusive to people around them. It's rumored that they like sex a lot too. Meanwhile, we've got a sociopath in Madison named Irving Smith who after taking me for a ride, is still pulling stunts. You're missing out on a great chance to help Madison by worrying about what I think about dead rock stars.

You probably also knew that Richards dumped Pallenberg after she was caught boning a bellboy. Likely one of dozens of affairs she had. Keith went pretty far for a guy who mastered two-finger chords and 3-note solos. Pretty lucky dude, wouldn't you say?

I can't remember if it was Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf or BB King who said, "Jones is the bluesman. Jagger's a ballerina."

... in “Life,” Richards writes that Pallenberg was “like Hitler.”

Now that you've invoked your cosmic bete noire, Irving Smith, I'm not inclined to pursue this. What he has to do with what I would characterize as your simplistic thoughts on 1960s rock history eludes me.
