Sandwiches and your mouth

Because I ordered the "Crispy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich" at Vintage. It consisted of a bun, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. And two thick chicken breasts. I could not open my mouth wide enough to take a bite out of the sandwich. I think I have a normal size mouth, no one ever said "your mouth is little like Trump's hands". So I had to deconstruct said sandwich and eat it with a knife and fork. Like a barbarian.
I hope this isn't a new trend. It tasted good, but a civilized person should be able to consume a sandwich in the customary manner.
