Where are you eating and what do you think? What's opening, closing, succeeding, failing?

More like "a listing of ten restaurants that bought advertising or advertorial with us at some point."

Edit: And they can say they don't do advertorial all they want, everything Barry Adams writes is a fluff piece.

My mom's been dead for 14 years, my dad for 47.

Best wishes to those of you who still have living parents, but I'm always glad when we're done with the Mother's Day/Father's Day Media Gauntlet.

I agree, but he didn't write this one. Is he Samara's mentor or something?

Samara's writing is just bland and insipid; the worst thing she'll say about a restaurant is that "my companion" or whatever thought a dish wasn't to their taste, and God help you if you serve food that even approaches the border of spicy.

Barry Adams' stuff is just straight "here's a place, here's what the owners have to say about it." I mean, granted, I graduated from J-school 12 years ago, but I was always taught that any story needs to have at least two sources independent from one another.
