Vegetarian place near West Town mall. Too many meat eaters here.

What? A business closed, or opened, in a City of of 250K+ people? I'm shocked.

I know! I could hardly believe it myself, especially since I've been there as many as zero times.

Yeah, that's why the Green Owl went out of business so fast.

Mr. Freshii will surely be disappointed in the closure of his restaurants.

We ate at Freshii's maybe once a year while it was open. It had good food, but it never really caught on in our routine. We went there when it opened, and they were still working out the kinks. Gave it other tries, and service improved. It probably would have done better near UW.

I read a comment somewhere suggesting the Freshii on the West Side was affected by the great monsoon of 2018 and decided not to re-open. I ate there and liked it, but I was familiar with it because of a trip to Toronto, where Freshii seemed to be on every other street corner.

More mysterious is the Freshii on Monroe, which opened and then closed in a 1-2 month window. We all understand that road construction was a thing, but this was a new restaurant going into a brand new building, as compared to all the existing businesses that did, or did not, survive that project.

I ate at the Freshii on the west side once. Most of my kids are vegetarians, and I treated one of my kids for lunch. The food was OK.

There are signs saying they are opening up a new Freshii in Fitchburg, in the old rock quarry in between the pet food store and the Princeton Club. For meat eaters, there is a Buffalo Wild Wings right by there.

So far I have seen no evidence of construction leading to an actual opening of a Freshii store. It may never happen.
