Re: Income taxes

I haven't had this specific issue, but I have had to switch browsers because one worked and one didn't. And the not working seems to happen with Chrome more than any other in my experience.

Re: Trump will sign bill, declare a national emergency

There have been 58 national emergencies declared. 31 still in effect. More TDS triggered freak outs. I'm glad you're OK with the precedent this may set when the next Democratic President uses it whenever Congress doesn't give her what she wants. That's the point dummy. It's not setting any "pr...

Re: Handicapping the Primary

Soglin 40% Conway 30% Cheeks 10% Shukla 10% Hart 5% write in 5% I don't see that happening; probably more Like Soglin 35-45 percent, and then 2-4 closely packed together, maybe close enough for a recount. Realistically though, if Soglin gets less than 40 percent in a primary, his odds of being mayo...

Re: Handicapping the Primary

Rhodes-Conway, Cheeks and Shukla split the anti-Soglin vote. If forced to pick, I'd say the order would be Rhodes-Conway in second, Shukla in third, and Cheeks in fourth. If it plays out this way, it may in part be due to Brenda Konkel's leaving the race. I think she'd draw more votes away from Sat...

Re: Handicapping the Primary

I hope Pettaway (write-in) finishes ahead of Hart, if for no other reason than she's taking the race seriously and her heart's in the right place.
My guess is that Rhodes-Conway and Shukla will be in a tight race for 3rd, but that's nothing more than a hunch.

Handicapping the Primary

This can be for any office. I am particularly interested in the mayoral contest, because the notion crossed my mind "could Soglin come in third?". It seems highly unlikely, because I think that you have a Soglin voter, and then you have a "let's give someone else a chance" voter....

Re: Trump will sign bill, declare a national emergency

Republicans should put politics and fake crises aside and deal with the serious issues facing this country. Trump's childish insistence on a wall that he claimed Mexico would pay for is only an issue because Republicans enable him.

When I was a kid (a REAL long time ago) I watched him in a paid 30 minute ad. I could swear it was in black and white.
He could really spin a yarn.

Every time I think that the Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature couldn't be any more loathsome, they find a way. It's hard to describe the level of contempt I have for those "people".

I don't know if the total number of days is right, but I can confirm that at least one of the days was the result of it being so cold that the school buses couldn't run.
