Re: Glyphosate in California Wines

Take your junk "science" and kick rocks, Shorty. Scarcely a day goes by without some scary story about glyphosate, the world’s most widely used herbicide. It is best known as the active ingredient in Monsanto’s “Roundup” which is used to kill weeds in fields planted with seeds that have be...

Re: Pens

Just went to the UW bookstore and they don't carry Cello brand. Nobody does. You have to get 'em on Amazon. It looks, all these years later, like the Cello Superglides have gotten even harder to acquire. No black ink on Amazon, that I can find. It would appear that Cello has transitioned from Super...

Re: Delicious dishes that define Madison

It's the end of summer; they couldn't get a better-looking tomato on that Parthenon gyro?

And tbqh, while it's a dish plenty of Madisonians eat, I'm not sure how "Madison" a greasy gyro really is. Should give up its slot in the countdown to Paul's Pel'meni.

Re: Metcalfe's is getting Vienna Dogs!

Had the other area grocery stores that have carried Vienna dogs stopped carrying them? I know I've bought them in the Madison area many times in the past, but I admit it's been a while since I shopped for hot dogs.

Looks like the site maybe just went to https, or if it was a while ago, then my https-less bookmark finally stopped getting redirected properly.

Re: Daily Page down or is it just me?

Something is redirecting this link in my bookmarks (and yes, the bookmark itself is correct): https://forum.isthmus.com/viewforum.php/?f=60 to this link https://forum.isthmus.comviewforum.php/?f=60 with that one key slash stripped out. When I reinsert the slash to go to the proper URL, I get a very ...

What's your real name Beaver, so we can falsely attribute characteristics to you after you die based on a name you had no role in choosing. You're the worst.

Re: Mad burger week, June 8-15

Sorry Madsci, apparently my intended jokey tone didn't carry. Saying that all beef is flavorless seemed like an odd position to stake out.

Close. I'd say it's more like treating all food with respect.
