Bar surveillance mandate in Chippewa Falls

Postby Sandi » Wed Jun 11, 2014 12:35 pm

Having cameras in taverns is Constitutional, but I don't think mandating them is.

The ordinance, which has been requested by the city’s Police Department, also would require that bar owners turn over any footage to authorities without them first having to obtain a warrant or subpoena.

If bars owners don’t install cameras, they risk losing their licenses under the controversial proposal.

Seizing the tapes without a warrant isn't Constitutional either. I guess Chippewa Falls is taking a page from I-have-a-pen-and-a-phone Obama.

Yeah. Because conservative would never think about doing local surveillance of their own citizens.

Come on, If Eric Cantor wasn't conservative enough for the TPers, W has to be a bleeding heart liberal.

The best part is that something Chippewa Falls did somehow comes back to Obama.

The anger and the hatred from the right is quite fascinating.

Like you suffered from Bush Derangement Syndrome. Careful when throwing stones from your glass house.

What a bunch of ninnies. Hijack a topic because they actually agree with government intrusion.

I am against this being a city or county law. But I am completely in support of bar owners doing this. If I owned a bar I would have security cameras on all entrances, exits and the cash registers.

How do you reconcile your statement with the fact that every single Republican in Washington voted for the Patriot Act and that it was used to start the NSA program in 2006 while they controlled all branches of government?

Could it be that the words you typed are incorrect? That you were making an honest mistake? Or are you a joke, a silly fucking liar who ignores all reality in the name trashing an ideology you clearly don't understand?

I want answers Sandi or you can take your ball and go home. I can have conversations with liars all over the internet. I don't think honesty is too much to ask of anyone, in any conversation. Perhaps that's just a left progressive act. It's starting to seem that way.
