Anyone use DSL Extreme for Internet here in Madison? I see I can switch my AT&T DSL to them.

Tell me this isn't a weak attempt at guerrilla marketing.

So far from the views on google, DSL Extreme gets bad reviews, so I probably won't switch to them. But if someone had something good to say I might switch. AT&T and Charter internet are expensive.

They said my address here in Madison was eligible, but they noted:

"You are required to maintain an active AT&T land line in order for our service to be provided."

The other downside when I asked about 'downtime' was:

"After you place the order, it generally takes 3 to 5 business days. We advise not to cancel with your current dsl provider so that we can process an internet service provider switch. There is always a possibility of 0-4 business days of down time."

And I wouldn't want to be without internet for 4 days.
