Walker won raves within the GOP for beating back the recall effort, led by Democrats and their union allies over his push to curb collective bargaining rights for public sector employees. The measure was part of Walker's efforts to overhaul the state's budget.
Walker, a Republican who survived a recall attempt last year, is working with former Bush speechwriter Marc Thiessen to tell his story in Unintimidated: A Governor's Story and a Nation's Challenge.
"This book tells the dramatic story of how one brave leader drove real change in his state, and what the rest of the country can learn from him," said Adrian Zackheim, Sentinel's president and publisher. "It's not just a memoir — it's a call to action."
