Snow plow recommendations?

Postby barney » Sun Dec 12, 2010 2:59 pm

We've got a fairly long driveway (garage is behind the house), and after today, we're considering getting it plowed. We don't need the sidewalks or anything done, just a straight shot up the driveway, nothing too fancy.
Anybody have any recommendations for who to call (or who not to)?

My next door neighbor lives on the East Side and runs a snow removal service only charging $10. He has a tractor snow thrower and a walk-behind snow thrower for tighter spaces. His name is Jon, and his phone number is 249-7608. Jon's a really nice guy and does good work.

I am still looking for good Snow Plow service for a residential home on the Far West side. Any suggestions?

Careful Beav. Snow plow drivers are known to consort with janitors.

What exactly is a residential home?

I think that redundant term means a single family home to some people as opposed to an apartment building or complex.

Good advice but I won't let them in my home. And I won't be going on a date with them.

are there some folks who use flame throwers instead of ploughs? that would probably result in a smaller carbon foot print.

Probably more like a small carbon spot, with a flame thrower lying next to it.

In your case, that is.
