Richard Davis with Bruce Springsteen

Postby Stu Levitan » Tue Mar 18, 2008 10:37 am

Bruce brought out an old friend at the Bradley last night -- Richard Davis, to play bass on "Meeting Across the River." Very, very cool.

The "Jungleland" to follow was none-too-shabby, either.

that was a really great show. i had an amazing seat right off the stage at stage level.
highlight for me was "loose ends" which i'm still humming this morning.

I was there in the pit pumping my fist and was blown away by Meeting....

One of the coolest back to back I have ever seen.... still reeling, and still have a smile on my face that won't disappear and likely won't for days.

Very cool mostly hi-energy show! And he referenced "are you loose?" from the '75 "bomb threat" show at the Uptown. Ah, memories.

And just think if we'd gotten what the setlist had as the alternate for Ramrod -- Rosalita.

I, too, was in the pit and the energy was as positive as any show I've attended. My neighbors included Pat Riley, clearly a fan, singing along and pumping his fist in all the right places. At the other extreme, GOP State Senator Ted Kanavas, also singing along and fist pumping. Seeing him arm in arm with Jon Erpenbach was a memory I can't get out of my head...right up there with Sly's dance with Sue Bauman a few years ago.

What about if we had gotten Racing in the Street instead of My Hometown...

Always nice to see such glowing talk for the best there is...

Does anyone else have sore arms?

BTW, now that I have been in the pit, the rest of the arena is now totally worthless to me, which is going to be a significant problem.

All in black, just like the band. Black casual shirt, black slacks, black loafers (alligator?)

Here I am, trying to make a serious point, and Kyle has to go and post that picture.

This is starting to look like that Seinfeld episode where several generations of Mandelbaums throw out their backs.
