Tornado sirens

Postby Shorty » Sun Mar 30, 2014 8:32 pm

Why have Tornado sirens gone off several times on the West side since 7:30 tonight? There is no storm on radar. Malfunction? Mudslide? Nuclear missile incoming? UW basketball party?

I don't know, but I heard something far more ominous: the sound of a lawnmower. Some psycho felt compelled to mow mud — or last year's leaves, I dunno.

Get a freaking rake, yo!

Some of you may recall the stories I shared last year of my crazy, lawn-obsessed neighbor . Well, he's still crazy and he's most definitely still lawn-obsessed. Today he mowed his lawn for the second time this year. I'd say this guy needs a hobby, but clearly he already has one. A loud, gas-guzzling hobby.

Shorty -- where are you located? I'm off Midvale near Odana and didn't any sirens today.

I survived the tornado/mudslide/earthquake/missile attack.

I guess it's pretty funny to make fun of tragedies when you're not part of one.

Anyone you know died in the mudslide?

I don't know anyone who died in any tornado, mudslide, earthquake, or missile attack. I wasn't making fun of those tragedies. I was wondering what was causing the sirens to go off. If I was making fun of anything, it was the malfunctioning sirens.
