Best of Red Smith

What books, zines or other pulp are you reading? What aren't you reading? What should everyone else read?

Best of Red Smith

Prepping interview with Daniel Okrent about American Pastimes: The Very Best of Red Smith, which he edited, just out from Library of America. Anybody got any questions?

Nope, no questions at all for Mr. Okrent.
My head is already half full of irritations,
So my yang says nothing good will come from providing a question.

Shorter: I'm not biting until I perceive that this trolling matters to you.

We apparently have different understandings of what "trolling" is.

Just a word I could have used with greater care.

Does the data you request here matter to you?
I have had a hard time telling if it does.

When I invited questions for head of Water Utility, I got two. I asked them both on camera.

Would it be "trolling" if I ask that Access support HTML5?

Criminy, it's not even a standard yet. Give it a few years.

Well, it wouldn't exactly be trolling, but it would be pretty silly to ask that question on this thread. If you're actually interested in an answer, I suggest you contact production staff.

No, it is me trying to steer around a stupid position I painted myself into. I am sure you have seen it all before.
I like the idea of ACH, but I am trying to find access to it.
I refuse to waste money on cable or uverse.
In the evening I dork around behind the gorilla glass of an ipad,
So that is the basis of my odd inquiry.

When I think I have a relevant question in response to your prompts I will post - you have pointed out to me that you do listen.

Thanks
