Popewatch '13

If it's news, but not politics, then it goes here.

I like nothing about an anti gay anti women Pope. And I don't like the idea of a pope.

It's not the pope I like . it's the humor of the posts.

I was responding to Shorty and maybe that post was sarcastic. I could give a shit if he rides the bus. He agreed to enter Vatican City and lead the Catholic church both of which are corrupt, narrow minded, and have no interest in helping the poor. All they want to do is make money, convert the heathens, stop abortion, get rid of the gays, and make sure everyone knows how powerful they are. Fuck them.

I think the Pope needs to step into the 21st century, stop being so damn stodgy, and, for once, show a little style.

What a lame name choice, too -- he should have paid homage to Latin America and gone with Pope Jesus I. Which begs the question -- what would you name yourself if you appeared from a puff of white smoke? I'd go with Pope Chachi I.

How about an antipope? Been a while since we've had a good antipope. Mix it up a little, get some conflict going.

Then there was Pope Joan. The RCC needs another female pontiff.
