Attorney Working with Bad River Tribe Led MMSD

Attorney Working with Bad River Tribe Led MMSD During Sewage Dumps in Lake Michigan

"A top environmental attorney representing the Bad River Band of Chippewa in the debate over a proposed iron ore mine helped lead the Metropolitan Milwaukee Sewerage District during a time when it pumped billions of gallons of raw sewage into Lake Michigan. Dennis Grzezinski, the senior staff attorney for Midwest Environmental Advocates, has testified against the proposed mine and has worked closely with the tribe on public relations and lobbying matters on the mine issue. For 18 years, Grzezinski was a Commissioner for the Metropolitan Milwaukee Sewerage District (MMSD), and for four years he was the chairman of the Commission."

Consider the corruption involved in this matter on the pro-mining side, as spelled out in this article. It starts with Gogebic's lawyers and goes all the way to, you guessed it, Scott Walker.

Talk about corruption...just take a look at the Bad River Band's environmental record with the EPA and lack of enforcement.

Great stewardship of the land.

OKAY Dudley, everyone sucks. Sounds to me like now's not the time to put any of them in control of new dangerous holes in the ground.

END OF FUCKING CONVERSATION, RIGHT? Jesus.

Better get use to attorneys on this one. This case will fester in the Federal Court system for the next 5 years at a minimum. Lots of attorneys generating lots of fees.

What corruption are you talking about?

Ok.

In a series of emails, EPA spokeswoman Anne Rowan said that the agency prefers in some cases to work with violators, rather than levy fines, if they are working to meet regulations.

In a statement, she said:

"U.S. EPA and the Indian Health Service have been providing technical assistance to the Bad River Tribe to improve the operation of the Tribe's wastewater treatment plant and correct permit noncompliance.

"While still not in full compliance, discharge quality has improved and reporting violations have been resolved."

Gogebic paid off the Republican Party to do their bidding. There is no corruption involved in the tribe's case.

I think you don't know what corruption means. We get that this is the 2nd thread you have started to point out what you see as hypocrisy.

If I remember correctly the Milwaukee sewage issue had to do with an unusually amount of rain in a short period and would have cotaminated the drinking water in Milwaukee so they allowed the sewage to go into Lake Michigan to protect the water supply.

Fascinating stuff, is this subterfuge getting our our brothers and sisters to the north sufficiently agitated? If so, ya all are bang on with your tactics. May I direct you here for further insight?:

I would like to think that people will see through these tactics, but I gotta say that your "tribe" has reason to think otherwise.
