98th Assembly District "too close to call"

Postby jman111 » Wed Feb 20, 2013 10:34 am

Channel3000 has the story
At first count, window cleaning business owner Adam Neylon is ahead of Village of Pewaukee Police Chief Ed Baumann by just 30 votes, 2003 vs 1973.

I was curious about these two, so I checked out their respective campaign websites:
http://www.adamneylon.com/
http://www.edbaumann.org/bio/

It's interesting to me what the voters of the 98th are looking for in a representative.

Our Lt. Gov's former spokesperson is in that race, too.

Seems Candidate Neylon is ahead in the count, for now:

Neylon, 28, said creating jobs is his top priority, and he backs efforts to ease business regulations and cut taxes. He favors putting tax limits in the state constitution.

He also promotes a plan to have candidates who challenge incumbents in recall elections pay the cost of running the elections if they lose. He said he supports expanding voucher schools and opposes abortion, including in cases of rape and incest.

Do they all get together and think this stuff up, or do it on their own? I never before heard of making people pay if they challenge an incumbent and lose, but I'm sure it'll be all over the place from now on. Kind of like term limits in reverse.

She was the frontrunner a month ago, but flamed out rather spectacularly.
