Postby 7 » Thu Jan 17, 2013 2:11 pm

If you don't want to check out the link.
I just read on Craigs list that someone had two Rickenbacker guitars stolen in Madison.
if this is a real post anyone know who they were stolen from?

Don't recognize the axes and I haven't seen this on my facebook feed so chances are I don't know them. Hopefully they've called every guitar shop/pawn shop withing 100 miles of here. That's where this will end up, and probably in the first day or two.

I'm glad I saw it because I've been looking for a Rick.

I hope you get them back.

What type of people steal musical instruments? Are they easy to pawn? That must be it.

these are not the typical pawn shop guitar. they raise the HOT flag to most decent pawn shop owners.
shit I'm still pissed about a gorilla guitar stand and a guitar strap someone lifted from a High Noon show 2 years ago.

I worked at Music Go Round for 4 years. You have to make those phone calls to any shop you can think of that would buy this from someone. Your CL ad could be a lot more specific as well.

Hope you get your instruments back. It might be worth keeping an eye on eBay for a while.

There's a special place in Hades for guitar thieves. I heard they all have to squeeze into a supply closet with Amber Noggle's tanning products and Bob Lindmeier's Visine stash.
