You mean, President Barack Obama?

Yeah, that's what I meant.

President Barack Obama. The winner. The guy who beat Mitt Romney, the Koch machine, the Tea Party, Meade, Althouse, and Citizens United.

That last one probably hasn't resonated through the wingnut ranks yet. They had, literally, unlimited anonymous funds coming in from every direction and they STILL lost. They're only just beginning to realize they need something besides money.

^^^ This.

According to one report, independent conservative groups sank $700 million into this election, hoping to push the needle over to Romney. They outspent the pro-Obama independent ad forces by about a 3-to-1 margin.

And they still lost.

If they are the clear-thinking businesspeople they purport to be, and not just a bunch of fools with too much money and too much hate, they should give some serious thought to the lack of return on their investment.

And, back to the subject of your original post:

President Barack Obama

That reminds me of a quote I heard from one talking head while I was channel surfing trying to find Tammy's victory speech. (Which I found and it was good to watch.)

The guy said something to the effect of "The Republicans are going to have to realize they don't want to be the party that thinks there's just too much love in the world."

73.1%

Phil, yes, he was. That's what the majority of Massachusetts voters apparently wanted for their state at the time Romney was governor. Do you believe it's what the majority of voters in every state want? Or do we want something like it, imposed on us by the federal government? Polls say we don't. Today's elections should make that even more clear, one way or the other.

Yes Meade, I agree.

I wonder if Victoria Jackson has stopped crying and come to grips with the fact that Barack Obama is the duly elected, uncontested President of her country.

I actually feel a bit of pity for Victoria Jackson, because it's achingly clear that if anyone in this country should be under 24-hour psychiatric care, it is she.

I hope that someday she gets the help she so desperately needs.

You'd think the Republicans would recognize that and try to shelter her a little bit and minimize the damage. It would be a smarter use of all that money.

I think we need to switch this over to the Joe Biden 2016 Intrade as he teased that he'll be running. Here, I'll start:

Sorry Ned. Your 8 year nightmare of having a Kenyan Socialist in the White House is only going to get worse. Hillary is going to run, and she is going to win.
