Cloud Atlas

Okay nobody's said anything about it yet and I have to go on record.

I liked it. I actually kind of really liked it. Depth, good acting, good plot(s), and enough stuff going on that I need to see it a couple more times. I'm impatient for it to come out to the cheap seats and video.

I guess I can understand all the reviews saying things like too many plots, hard to follow, each story should stand alone, et cetera. But I respectfully disagree. Some tales are just complicated and un-complicating them ruins the story.

I will 2nd everything you wrote, rabble. I saw it with a friend last night because I was too nervous to watch the election coverage.

I want to add two things, and two quotes. It's long; running time is 172 min. (but again, it's worth it). There are some really, really memorable lines in this movie. Here's one:
Courage is the discovery that you may not win, and trying when you know you can lose."

(And put in another way:)
Courage is being scared to death—but saddling up anyway."

-John Wayne
