Dane 101 reports from yesterday's ALRC meeting that Brasserie V has "consent agenda approval" to double its capacity by expanding into the adjacent space that once housed high-end bridalwear retailer Premier Couture.
Chef Rob Grisham runs one of the city's best kitchens, and the restaurant plays host to a lot of beer tastings and themed dinners; the front of the house that normally houses those events gets really crowded, really fast. Add to that dueling no reservations and no incomplete party-seating policies, and you've got a space ripe for expansion. (Wouldn't miss the end of that latter rule, though.)
The kitchen will have to keep up, obviously, and I'm hopeful that maybe this will also signal the return of Sunday brunch. But at the very least, the cramped waiting area vestibule should be a little more comfortable.
