Sentencing delayed again. Maybe she hasn't finished singing her song.

As part of Wink's plea deal, she agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in ongoing investigations of other associates close to now-Gov. Walker. Assistant district attorney Bruce Landgraf told the judge two investigations are still in progress.

Defense attorney Peter Wolff said his client is eager to have the matter closed, but she will continue to cooperate.

Five other Walker aides and associates have also been charged, on allegations ranging from embezzlement to campaigning on county time.

Hearing for John Doe defendant postponed

The wheels of justice turn slowly, but grind exceedingly fine.

Walker may be called as a prosecution witness in the trial of Kelly Rindfleisch.

Rindfleisch faces four felony misconduct charges for doing campaign work while at her job in Milwaukee County as deputy chief of staff to Walker in 2010, when Walker was county executive and a Republican candidate for governor.

Walker subpoenaed in former staffer's trial

Will he tell the truth or risk a felony perjury charge? I wonder how many times he will say "I don't remember" or "I can't recall."

Or will be dare plead the Fifth?

The Milwaukee DA's office is making some interesting, and surely not accidental, moves.

Update that to Walker IS subpoenaed to testify. Will he claim the 5th? Will he be subpoenaed for the other trials? What happened to the "secret email server" that was used to circumvent the open records law?

More from madison.com:
...the governor did not attempt to fight the subpoena. The state Constitution prohibits lawmakers from being subpoenaed while the Legislature is in session and for 15 days before and afterward, but there is no such exemption for governors, according to Anne Sappenfield, senior staff attorney for the Legislative Council.

"Some states have statutes that grant immunity to governors so that they cannot be called to testify in legal proceedings — Indiana, for example. But most do not," said Karl Shoemaker, UW-Madison associate professor of history and law. "Any witness retains, of course, the right to refuse to answer questions on grounds recognized under existing law — for example, if testimony is covered by attorney-client privilege, or the 5th Amendment protection against self-incrimination."

Reagan's record is 934 so I'm guessing he'll go 940 (a little cushion is nice).

Maybe.
But I'd like to see the next 5 years of her tax returns. Or those of her closest associates. There's a lot of loose billionaire's money floating around, these days.

Prosecutors have to agree to any deal. They aren't going to let her off without getting something in return.

The tell on whether she's cooperating or not will be if they hold her sentence in abeyance like they've done with Darlene Wink. They do that in order to guarantee they get the cooperation that has been promised.
