The judge ruled it was not legitimate in that the part he overturned violated both the Wisconsin and the federal constitutions.

They can do it, but should they? Why even have a minority party if this is going to be the case.

Kinda like how the Republicans tried to ram through act 10 to begin with. Hmmmm.

Do you really not see the fundamental difference? What the county board will attempt to do tonight is going to do nothing but put the taxpayers in Dane County behind the 8 ball, and then expect the rest of the state to make up the difference.

I'm also quite confident that Act 10 wasn't rammed through in less than 48 hours.

This is obviously going to go to at least the state, and probably federal level in the judicial system right? So why re-negotiate these contracts in the interum? Why not take advantage of the savings Act 10 offers?

If the citizens of Dane County disagree with the Board's actions, they can elect new supervisors. Don't you believe in local control with government?

What are those savings? Could you link to them. Oh wait, you don't like facts.

Are you really arguing they don't exist? Why don't you link something that claims Act 10 won't save the taxpayers of Dane County money?

Fair enough. I hope the county can figure out how they are going to pay for these benefits out of it's OWN BUDGET, without raising taxes in the county. We all know it's impossible, it's just that some of us don't care.

So the article quotes the Beacon Hill institute which, when clicking on the link, brings us back to watchdog.org. Plus the Beacon Hill institute is funded heavily by the Kock Brothers. How objective they must be. Man you sure are a lap dog when it comes to right wing propaganda. Now I know how these people get elected.

So where is your link again? Should be pretty obvious that Act 10 has lead to savings for counties/cities across the state including Dane County.

Who can't afford it?

Ok I'll bite: taxpayers

Which taxpayers? Why can't they afford it?

You don't think we pay enough taxes in Dane County as it is?

You do understand that Dane county residents pays in a lot more to the state than the state gives back to Dane county residents? Kind of like the Northerners pay more money to the government limiting Southerners.

You claimed that taxpayers can't afford "more high priced government expendetures". Are you sticking by that, or is it that you simply don't like paying taxes?

I would really question that statement. Especially considering the number of government entities unique to Dane County that are state funded. Regardless doing this is a waste of money, regardless of who you all feel is entitled to it. The savings are available. Why not take advantage?
