Snow blower ads running already

Postby Henry Vilas » Wed Aug 29, 2012 4:16 pm

Just saw a commercial on WMTV for snow blowers. Either they expect a lot of snow or they want to push extra inventory left over from the very mild season we had last winter.

Tomorrow's temp is expected to reach mid 90s. The ad is a little premature.

In preparation for winter, the fountain on Library Mall has been covered.

On the other hand, the Sinister Clown Wagons are still touring the neighborhood, so there must still be a market for cold sweets of dubious origin.

Hallowe'en candy apppeared in my local grocery store approximately two weeks ago. One thing I think is new: marshamallow peeps in the shape of ghosts and jack-o-lanterns.
